Projects: Phase 2
The Phase 2 projects of The Hands Foundation are a new approach to keeping it local. A lot of times it's easier to concentrate on the bigger problems that we see on the news and hear about from around the country and across borders. They can seem more important sometimes the bigger the problems are. But after a time you can't ignore the people in your own hometowns. People who need help just as much as anyone else. So a sort of awakening occurs when you realize that you can do something for these people as well. It's such an easy thing to do once you start. You see the problem, formulate a plan to fix it, and put it into action. Everyone here at the Hands Foundation reacts and feels the same way toward problems big and small. See the problem, react quickly, and fix it to the best of our abilities. The Phase 2 projects have been a huge success beginning with St. Katherine's church in Owen, WI. The first project we did was to renovate their basement meeting area. Since that project St. Katherine's has become our biggest supporter and greatest ally in the Phase 2 projects. They have provided us with meals for every project we work, labor help, and a place to host meals and help for local people. A place where people in need can come and get help. The ladies of St. Katherine's have been the heart of this foundation for sometime now. I haven't met anyone who gives as freely and as easily of themselves as this group of ladies. You will read more about them in the projects below and see them in photos as well. We couldn't have done this Phase 2 push without their help and we will continue to succeed in the future. Below are links for the various projects. Please search on and see what we've been able to accomplish so far.
