Benefit concert to help House of Refuge

November 10, 2014 | Jill Bock - Sikeston Standard Democrat

SIKESTON -- A benefit concert by the Nashville-based band Rosewater is designed to tell the story of the trials and tribulations of love and marriage. In turn, it will also benefit those who understand those trials and tribulations in real life.

On Nov. 22, Cheers Bar and Grill will host a performance by the band during a stop on their "Shotgun Wedding Reception Tour" as they promote their new album "Shotgun Wedding." To support their "Shotgun Wedding Reception" theme, the band's founders, brothers Darrell and Chauncey Marrier, have created an event that incorporates a wedding reception, where concertgoers can bring gifts in the form of personal items or cash donations to benefit a worthy cause.
