    TRAILER STEPS

    ONE STEP AT A TIME

The Hands Foundation was approached by the ladies of St. Katherine’s about assisting one of their very own who was in need of help. Marion Redpath had a house that was desperately in need of roof repair and overall attention. Although she was too polite to ask for help, the ladies called it to the attention of Hands.

The ladies of St. Katherine's kept the work crews going during the whole project, cooking lunch every single day. They were tireless in their provision for all of the crews’ needs. Nearly all of the local church's parishoners volunteered their time for this project. This, like so many of the Hands Project's, couldn't have been completed without their help.

The amount of volunteer help acquired for the project was encouraging. Volunteers continued to arrive at various times according to their own schedules and donations poured in for the supplies. The shingles and roofing materials were all donated by families and individual donations were contributed for the siding. The project was finished quickly with a minimum of difficulty and a maximum of assistance. The volunteer help deserves the highest gratitude.
